I have nothing good to say about this church. I have never felt more unwelcome.
Awesome place to worship, friendly, great music and message
This place is wonderful and filled with wonder people. It's just like any other church you do have to interact with people if you want to be involved and you do have to ask questions. I've been coming here since I was 12 or 13 I am now 15. I have changed a lot since I have been here because when I first came here I was extremely shy I really didn't talk to anyone but then I sorta opened up a little more to people because I was moving into middle school and I got to go to youth group, the youth group was really fun and the teachers really try to get you to become friends with each other, as you go on trips and hang out and talk in a lighthearted kind of conversation. For me I had acquaintances and I had friends I didn't really talk to my acquaintances that much as I spent most of my time with my friends I had made but when those friends moved away one by one until they were all gone I kinda felt like there was no one to talk to so i eventually made new friends and got baptized. Then I noticed there was a world of teachers in this church that I knew or had as a teacher and I heard that they need more helpers in the children's ministries so I took the class to be a helper and I have been helping ever since. I do feel that if you are coming as a first timer that you find someone you know to show you around or just make conversation with people and ask questions because sometime they notice there is a new person sitting in the audience and sometimes they don't. This church is very great for kids as first timers from what I have seen kids are much more open than teens and adults. there is a few snacks and drinks in the main service area. there are mints at the front desk kinda close to where you first walk in. I feel that this church is very supportive and on the flip side with the sermon the pastor makes you laugh and tries to connect the bible to current situations either happening with the church or community. I really do like this church and encourage other to go and become a member as well I hope to go to this church as long as I live but I am still in school so things may change I hope this review helps for people who are looking for a new church!
Moved here from Colorado. After (too much) church hopping between Charlottesville and Richmond, we're incredibly glad to call New Life our home! A Christ centered church, and people are genuinely welcoming. Lot's of kids which is always as sign of a growing church. We're so excited to see what God has in store for this body of believers with the new pastor starting soon!
I was a kid/teen when coming here. I lived right across the road. I never thought I'd like it but I loved it. Awana was so helpful and was a fun way to learn and remember bible verses and youth nights .. they made me feel like it was one big happy family and I love the service. Of course it felt long but I was a teenager.. and tired.
