Great place. Very eclectic. Would come again.

My eighty year old parents planned to stay for a weekend. Was told that they would have first floor room. Was give a room up two flights of rickety stairs. Asked for a refund and was told that they had not paid for room. Dad has cancelled check at home. Lady said someone must of forged her signature. Dad gave her a hundred dollar bill and left. Sad to cheat old people out of money.

They don't deserve one star!!!

Just weird. A very small bed in breakfast. The place cluttered with antiques. Horder comes to mind.

I also enjoyed wandering around Louisa… movies and concerts at the Louisa Art Center were fun. The small shops and restaurants down town also offered one of a kind experiences. The inn is also within easy driving distance of Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, and Richmond, with all the sights there to sample. I recommend the Whistle Stop Bed and Breakfast as a place to relax and recharge.

Cute old house, but every square inch is packed with antiques, making it feel cramped and frenetic. The caretaker is friendly and makes a pretty decent home cooked breakfast. WiFi barely works.

One of the things that I love about bed and breakfasts is that the hospitality and personality of the inn reflects the innkeeper; it is a welcome change from the generic hotel experience. The Whistle Stop Bed and Breakfasts enchants guests with a beautifully landscaped yard that can be enjoyed from a broad wraparound porch. Indoors, the innkeeper has arranged charming vignettes of antiques and collectables to delight the eye and also inspire the imagination. The vintage toys in the parlor would have been play things of my parents’ generation, and I mused on lazy summer days without electronic toys. The Beatrix Potter bunnies upstairs brought back fond memories of bed time stories. The tea cups in the dining room undoubtedly played roles in elegant tea parties. I found the Whistle Stop Bed and Breakfast an unpretentious place to relax and enjoy traditional southern hospitality.
